Smithsonian Traveling Exhibit on Covered Bridges
On March 12, the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES) opened a new exhibition titled, "Covered Bridges: Spanning the American Landscape," at the State Museum of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg, Pa. The exhibition was developed by the Historic American Engineering Record, a division of the National Park Service, and SITES; it is funded in part by the Federal Highway Administration. (OHBA has provided materials for this exhibit.)
Following its run in Harrisburg, "Covered Bridges" will travel to the Montshire Museum of Science in Norwich, Vt., and will continue on a multi-city national tour through 2009. For an up-to-date schedule, visit their website at Covered Bridge Itinerary
