Connotten Creek left its banks to partially cover the recently restored Zoarville Station Bridge in Tuscarawas County. No word on damage! This is the last remaining Fink Through Truss bridge in the world!
The bridge is fine. This isn’t the first time it’s been partially under water and certainly won’t be the last. The flooding in the bridge area has almost no current because it is just upstream from Dover Dam, so the bridge is quite safe. I would note for you that it survived this kind of flooding in the same location for over 60 years without suffering any noticeable damage. We’ll check it when the water recedes, of course, but I’ll be very surprised if it has suffered any damage beyond some mud on its deck and some small tree branches hanging in the eyebars.
